Hello,
I am using LDPM with embedded fibers using FIBRM. I have noticed that the PreferentialDirection work correctly for directions X and Y. However, no matter what you select as PreferentialDirection for the Z direction (PreferentialDirection 0 0 1 4.), the results are always a random distribution. See attached for one input file. I have also tried it for a different geometry and it also did not work.

The bug is confirmed and fixed in version 2016.7.48. Thanks for reporting.
