MFEM paraview

Postby rwendner » Tue Aug 02, 2016 11:26 am

In the new MfemMaterials.cpp the material property SVs are not initialised in the correct section.
initHexSV() is not reached, unleass it is called from calcStrsHx, see Gitlab push.

Please check and update the paraview output of SVs for MFEM.
Even though the debugger shows the correct assignment of local material properties ymd amd psn, the paraview output shows unreasonable numbers, seemingly following the temperature Rate field.

Please elaborate: which file/variable are you looking at? what is the correct result you expect and what is the result you are getting?

please check the paraview output e.g. for the SV 'YoungsModulus' which does not show a spatially constant field, even though it is initialised that way

Which file should I look into? there are many paraview files.

I suggest you check the run file and see which one contains the SVs of the MFEM material.
I dont' remember the name I chose for the file.

Please, when report a problem, provide the details so we can pinpoint the issue more quickly.

Xinwei,

I gave you all the information you need
- the run and gen files
- the fact that it is about 'paraview output of SVs'
- the fact that the problem are the 'correct assignment of local material properties ymd amd psn' (I even used your variable names)

I really don't know what else you want to know.
Also, I explained yesterday everything on the phone !

As I asked from the beginning, all I need is the paraview file name and and variable name in Paraview you are looking at.

Theare are dozens of paraview files, why don't you save both of us some time so I don't need to check all the paraview files one by one...

again, it's about the SV's of the MFEM material.
You can easily see which file it is from the run file.
