Issue using the platens

Postby madura » Tue Apr 12, 2016 6:22 pm

I attached here my input file: it simulates an uniaxial unconfined compression of a cylinder, using platens. The simulation includes the one way coupling, associating the HTC model and the mechanical setup. The file runs up to the second real time step and gives segmentation fault. This problem does not occur without the platens. Is the issue related to the input file ?
Thanks! Madura.

The way the input file creates those rigid platens is not correct. The right way is to first create the triangle face list as Geometry type (not Rigid type), then create a rigid body referring the triangle face list, please see attached file.
